FIBER 120
Polypropylene fibers
FIBER 120 is based on polypropylene to improve concrete properties and reinforce concrete, cement and plaster coatings.
Uses:
Preparation of repair mortars
Prefabricated pipes for conveying water and sewage
Durable concrete in the floors of industrial factories
Sprayed concrete and facade coatings
Concretes resistant to erosion
Advantages:
Increasing tensile, bending and compressive strength of mortar
Shrinkage crack reduction and proper flexibility
Reducing separation and shedding
Increasing concrete resistance against melting and freezing cycles
Mechanism of action:
By increasing the tensile strain capacity of the mortar containing FIBER 120 in the early times, the risk of cracking is reduced and when the mortar begins to shrink in the secondary times, the PP fibers bridge possible cracks and prevent the increase of cracks.
Types, dosage and packaging:
Fiber for use in concrete is preferably recommended with a length of 12 mm, but 3 and 6 mm sizes are used for mortars, including linings or spraying types.
The consumption of 4 mm fibers is approximately 1000 grams in concrete and approximately 1500 grams in cement or plaster mortars, depending on the thickness of the coating and its reinforcement.
Fibers can be supplied in 15, 20 and 25 kg packages.
Advice:
Concrete or mortar containing fibers also require curing and maintenance as well as mixtures without it.
FIBER 120 should not be used in mortars exposed to temperatures of 140 degrees or higher.
